Next Friday, January 16th, school is closed for teacher meetings, but you may sign your child up for a full day of Cub Club! See the attached flyer for more information!
As we prepare for report cards to be sent home in January, we wanted to send a quick reminder about an important change in our elementary reporting.
This quarter marks the first time that students in grades K-6 will be formally scored on our Portrait of a Graduate skills.
The Portrait of a Graduate outlines the essential skills and qualities we want all students to build for success. These scores will now appear on elementary report cards to give you a clearer picture of your child's growth in these critical areas.
As you receive your child’s first progress report on Portrait of a Graduate skills, please keep in mind that it is common for younger students to receive a score of 1 (Not Meeting Expectations) or 2 (Approaching Expectations). This does not mean they are failing. Many of these skills are complex skills that students are just learning to practice and should master by the end of 6th grade.
